Application

Explosion-proof junction boxes are mandatory in Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous areas wherever flammable gases, vapors, or dusts may be present:

• Oil & gas — wellhead control wiring, FPSO deck cable marshalling, refinery process areas
• Chemical & petrochemical plants — reactor area instrument junctions, solvent storage zones, pipeline metering skids
• Offshore platforms — all deck and module wiring in classified areas per IEC 60079-10
• Paint spray booths — lighting and ventilation control wiring within Zone 1 spray enclosures
