A CNC turned motor shaft is produced on a computer-controlled lathe, enabling highly repeatable outer diameters, shoulders, threads, and tapers across production runs of any size. Unlike manually turned or ground-only shafts, CNC turning allows complex multi-feature geometries — steps, undercuts, tapers, and thread forms — to be completed in a single clamping, minimizing accumulated positional error.

Fenglan operates a fleet of Mazak and Fanuc-controlled CNC turning centers with live tooling, capable of turning diameters from 4 mm to 120 mm and lengths up to 3,000 mm. ISO 9001:2015-certified processes and in-process SPC gauging ensure every shaft meets your print.
