Crimp Ferrule Terminal Overview

A crimp ferrule terminal — also called a wire ferrule, end sleeve, or bootlace terminal — is a small copper tube crimped onto the stripped end of a stranded wire to consolidate all strands into a single solid pin. When inserted into a screw-clamp or spring-clamp terminal block, the ferrule presents a clean, corrosion-resistant contact surface and prevents individual strands from fanning out, short-circuiting adjacent terminals, or loosening over time.

Fenglan manufactures crimp ferrules in electrolytic copper, tin-plated, with colour-coded PA nylon insulation collars in sizes from 0.25 mm² to 95 mm² (AWG 23 – 3/0). Twin-wire ferrules for two conductors in one terminal position are also available.

Application
