High Torque Spline Shaft

A high torque spline shaft has a series of ridges or teeth machined along its length that mesh with a corresponding splined hub, allowing torque to be transmitted while permitting axial sliding or fixed engagement. Fenglan produces both involute spline shafts (DIN 5480 / ISO 4156) and parallel-key (straight) spline shafts (DIN 5461–5463), rolled or milled to drawing.

Spline rolling produces a work-hardened tooth surface with superior fatigue resistance compared to milling, making it the preferred method for high-cycle torque applications. Our rolling capacity covers modules 0.5–5 and major diameters up to 80 mm.
