PCB Mount Terminal Board Overview

A PCB mount terminal board is a screw-clamp or spring-clamp connector soldered directly to a printed circuit board, providing a robust, reusable termination point for field wiring without the need for crimped connectors or wire-to-board soldering. Field wires are inserted and clamped from the side or top, while the soldered pins maintain reliable electrical and mechanical contact with the PCB traces.

Fenglan manufactures PCB terminal boards in 2.54 mm, 3.5 mm, 3.81 mm, 5.0 mm, 5.08 mm, and 7.5 mm pitches, covering wire ranges from 28 AWG to 10 AWG. Both horizontal (side-entry) and vertical (top-entry) wire insertion styles are available, along with rising-clamp and spring-cage clamping mechanisms.

We accept T/T (bank transfer), L/C at sight, PayPal (samples), and Western Union. A 30% deposit is required to confirm production, with the balance paid before shipment.

Standard lead time is 7–15 business days for regular orders; prototype samples ship within 3–5 days. We ship worldwide via DHL, FedEx, UPS, sea freight (FCL/LCL), and air freight. FOB Changzhou and CIF terms are both available. All goods are packed in export-standard cartons with foam padding or wooden crates for heavy items. A commercial invoice, packing list, and COA are provided with every shipment. For large OEM orders, customized packaging and private-label options are available upon request.

  • Q: What pitch should I choose for a 15 A power connection?
  • A: For 15 A at 300 V, we recommend 5.0 or 5.08 mm pitch. These pitches allow an adequate pad size and via clearance on the PCB for the current level. The 2.54 mm pitch is limited to 8 A and is intended for signal-level connections.
  • Q: Do PCB terminal boards come in plug-and-socket (two-piece) versions?
  • A: Yes. Our plug-and-socket series uses a soldered socket (fixed half) permanently on the board and a pluggable wire-entry body (mating half) that can be disconnected for board replacement or servicing without disturbing the field wiring.
  • Q: What is the insertion force for spring-cage models?
  • A: Insertion with a 2.5 mm flat screwdriver requires approximately 3–5 N of opening force. We also offer push-in spring-cage terminals where 0.5–1.5 mm² ferrule-terminated wires can be inserted without any tool — pressing a small tab opens the spring.
  • Q: Can PCB terminal boards be wave-soldered?
  • A: Yes. All our through-hole models are rated for wave soldering at 260 °C peak for 3 seconds. The PA66 housing meets IEC 60068-2-20 soldering heat resistance requirements. Reflow-compatible SMD models are available for 3.5 mm pitch.
