Ring Tongue Connecting Terminal Overview

A ring tongue connecting terminal — commonly called a ring lug or ring crimp terminal — is a closed-loop crimp terminal in which the wire barrel is crimped onto the conductor and the opposite end forms a fully enclosed circular eyelet that slides over a bolt or stud. Because the ring completely encircles the fastener, the terminal cannot slip off accidentally if the bolt loosens, making it the most secure and vibration-resistant crimp lug type available.

Fenglan manufactures ring tongue terminals in tin-plated electrolytic copper with PVC or nylon insulated barrels, covering wire sizes from 0.5 mm² to 240 mm² (AWG 20 – 500 kcmil) and stud hole sizes M3 to M20. Uninsulated heavy-duty versions for battery, earthing, and power cable terminations are available in standard and long-barrel configurations.

Application
