Barrier Strip Terminal Board Overview

A barrier strip terminal board — also called a barrier block or screw terminal strip — is a rows-of-screw connector mounted on an insulating base, with raised dividers (barriers) between each circuit position. The barriers physically separate adjacent conductors, preventing accidental bridging and making individual circuits easy to identify. Fenglan supplies barrier strips in 600 V/15 A through to 600 V/30 A ratings, with 2 to 24 positions per strip, in UL-recognized nylon-6 and glass-filled nylon housings.

Every position accepts one or two wire insertions with a captive brass screw, eliminating the need for pre-made crimped lugs in many control-panel wiring tasks. Nickel-plated brass current bars provide low contact resistance and excellent corrosion resistance over the product life.

We accept T/T (bank transfer), L/C at sight, PayPal (samples), and Western Union. A 30% deposit is required to confirm production, with the balance paid before shipment.

Standard lead time is 7–15 business days for regular orders; prototype samples ship within 3–5 days. We ship worldwide via DHL, FedEx, UPS, sea freight (FCL/LCL), and air freight. FOB Changzhou and CIF terms are both available. All goods are packed in export-standard cartons with foam padding or wooden crates for heavy items. A commercial invoice, packing list, and COA are provided with every shipment. For large OEM orders, customized packaging and private-label options are available upon request.

  • Q: What is the maximum wire size a barrier strip terminal board accepts?
  • A: Our 30 A rated strips (9.5 mm pitch) accept up to 8 AWG (10 mm²) conductors. The 15 A, 5 mm pitch strips accept up to 14 AWG (2.5 mm²). If you need larger wire, consider our high-current terminal block range.
  • Q: Can barrier strips be cut to a shorter length?
  • A: Yes. Strips are scored between positions and can be snapped to any length with a flat-head screwdriver. This is a standard feature — no tools beyond a screwdriver are required.
  • Q: Do you offer dual-wire entry on each position?
  • A: Yes. Several of our 30 A barrier strip models include a dual-screw top that accepts two conductors at each position, allowing branch or loop-through wiring without external jumpers.
  • Q: Are marker strips or legends available for labelling?
  • A: We supply blank white marker strips that fit into the legend slot on our standard housings. Laser-printed numbered or custom legends are available for OEM orders of 500 strips or more.
  • Q: What mounting options are available?
  • A: Standard strips mount via #6 (M3.5) screws through the two end lugs. We also supply optional DIN rail adapter clips that allow the same strip to snap onto a 35 mm TS-35 DIN rail without modification.
