Feed-Through Terminal Block Overview

The feed-through terminal block — also called a pass-through or two-conductor terminal — is the most common terminal block type in industrial control panels. It clamps one incoming conductor from the left and one outgoing conductor from the right in a single housing, creating a reliable, test-point-accessible junction at every wiring node.

Fenglan's feed-through blocks are available from 4 mm² (32 A) to 185 mm² (350 A), covering every circuit from 24 V DC instrumentation to 400 V AC power distribution. Each block includes a 4 mm banana-plug test point and accepts our standard side-entry or top-entry marker strip system. CE and UL listings are standard.

We accept T/T (bank transfer), L/C at sight, PayPal (samples), and Western Union. A 30% deposit is required to confirm production, with the balance paid before shipment.

Standard lead time is 7–15 business days for regular orders; prototype samples ship within 3–5 days. We ship worldwide via DHL, FedEx, UPS, sea freight (FCL/LCL), and air freight. FOB Changzhou and CIF terms are both available. All goods are packed in export-standard cartons with foam padding or wooden crates for heavy items. A commercial invoice, packing list, and COA are provided with every shipment. For large OEM orders, customized packaging and private-label options are available upon request.

  • Q: What is a jumper bar and when do I need one?
  • A: A jumper bar (also called a bridge plug or comb jumper) is a multi-pin connector that clips across adjacent terminal blocks on the rail, electrically bridging them. It is used to connect multiple outgoing wires to a single incoming conductor — for example, distributing a single 24 V supply to ten terminal blocks without running ten separate wires back to the power supply.
  • Q: Can feed-through blocks be used for DC as well as AC circuits?
  • A: Yes. Our higher-rated blocks (50 mm² and above) are rated up to 1,000 V, making them suitable for 600 V DC solar and battery systems as well as 400 V AC three-phase distribution. Always check the DC voltage rating on the datasheet — DC arc quenching requires a higher voltage rating than the equivalent AC circuit.
  • Q: What is the maximum torque for the screw on a 10 mm² block?
  • A: The tightening torque for our 10 mm² screw-clamp blocks is 2.5 N·m. We recommend using a torque screwdriver set to 80% of this value (2.0 N·m) for initial installation to allow a re-tightening check after the first thermal cycle.
  • Q: How many conductors can I insert into one feed-through block?
  • A: Standard feed-through blocks accept one conductor per clamping point (one left, one right). If you need to join three or more wires at one point, use a triple terminal block from our range, or add a parallel jumper bar to a group of blocks sharing the same potential.
  • Q: Do you supply feed-through blocks with disconnect knife?
  • A: Yes. Our knife-disconnect feed-through variant adds a rotary isolating blade between the left and right conductor chambers, allowing the outgoing circuit to be isolated without disturbing the wiring. This is commonly used for individual circuit testing in large panels.
