Introduction

A tension gas spring — also called a pull gas spring or extension gas spring — works in the opposite direction to a conventional compression spring. Instead of pushing the rod outward, it pulls the rod back into the cylinder when released, generating a controlled pulling force. This makes it the preferred solution for applications that require a component to be held closed, retracted, or pulled toward a neutral position.

Fenglan tension gas springs are charged with high-purity nitrogen gas and feature precision-machined steel cylinders, chrome-plated piston rods, and high-quality polymer seals rated for long service life. They are available in a wide range of force values, stroke lengths, and end fitting configurations to suit diverse OEM and aftermarket requirements.
