Introduction

Aluminum is the go-to engineering material when light weight, good machinability, and corrosion resistance need to coexist in a single part. CNC-machined aluminum parts are found in almost every industry — from consumer electronics enclosures to aerospace structural brackets — and the range of alloys means designers can tailor strength, conductivity, and surface-finish characteristics to their exact need.

Fenglan machines all common aluminum alloys: 6061-T6 (the workhorse for general structural and enclosure applications), 7075-T651 (where maximum strength-to-weight ratio is needed), 2024-T3 (aerospace fatigue-resistant grade), 5052 (marine and sheet-metal applications), and 6063 (extrusion-compatible profiles). High-speed spindles and diamond-coated tooling allow us to achieve exceptional surface finishes on aluminum — Ra 0.4 μm or better — reducing the need for secondary polishing.

Payment & Shipping

Payment Terms: We accept T/T (wire transfer), L/C at sight, PayPal, and Western Union. A 30% deposit is required before production begins, with the remaining 70% settled before shipment. For established long-term customers, flexible credit arrangements can be discussed on a case-by-case basis.

Lead Time: Standard production lead time is 7–15 business days after deposit confirmation. For urgent orders, expedited scheduling may be available — please contact our sales team to check availability.

Shipping & Logistics: We ship worldwide via DHL, FedEx, UPS, TNT, and by sea (LCL or FCL). Incoterms supported include EXW, FOB Ningbo/Shanghai, CIF, and CFR. The most cost-effective option is selected based on order weight and destination.

Packaging: All items are individually inspected, then packed in anti-rust film and foam-lined export cartons. Custom branding, inner packaging, and labeling are available on request. Packaging fully complies with international freight standards.

Quality Assurance: Every shipment is accompanied by an inspection report and, where applicable, material certificates (e.g., RoHS, REACH). We support third-party inspection arrangements (SGS, BV, etc.) if required.

FAQ

  • Q: Which aluminum alloy should I choose for a structural bracket?
  • A: 6061-T6 is the best all-rounder — good strength (276 MPa yield), excellent corrosion resistance, and the best machinability of the common structural alloys. If you need maximum strength and weight is critical, upgrade to 7075-T651. If weldability or formability matters, 5052 or 6063 may be better suited. Our engineers are happy to advise based on your load requirements and environment.
  • Q: What is the difference between Type II and Type III anodizing?
  • A: Type II (conventional anodize) produces a 5–25 μm coating that is ideal for cosmetic and mild corrosion protection. Type III (hard anodize) produces a 25–75 μm coating with Vickers hardness up to 400 HV — suitable for wear surfaces, sliding contacts, and harsh environments. Hard anodize darkens the aluminum color and slightly reduces dimensional clearances, so account for ≈+0.05 mm on ODs when designing.
  • Q: Can you engrave logos or text on aluminum parts before anodizing?
  • A: Yes. CNC engraving and laser etching before anodizing allows logos, part numbers, and barcodes to be integrated into the anodized surface — extremely durable compared to post-anodize printing. Please supply artwork in DXF or AI vector format.
  • Q: Do you provide material certificates for aerospace-grade aluminum?
  • A: Yes. For 2024, 7075, and other aerospace-grade alloys, we supply mill test reports (MTRs) and chemical composition certificates with each order. Traceability to the original melt batch is maintained throughout production.
