Terminal Block Overview

A terminal block is a modular wiring device that clamps one or more conductors securely and provides a reliable, re-connectable electrical junction point — all without soldering. Individual blocks snap onto a standard 35 mm DIN rail (IEC 60715 TS-35) and can be combined in any quantity, making them the backbone of modern industrial control cabinet wiring.

Fenglan manufactures a comprehensive DIN-rail terminal block range covering feed-through, ground (PE), fuse disconnect, double-level, spring-cage, and high-current types, with conductor cross-sections from 0.5 mm² to 185 mm² and voltage ratings from 250 V to 1,000 V. All products are CE-marked and meet IEC 60947-7-1.

Payment & Shipping

We accept T/T (bank transfer), L/C at sight, PayPal (samples), and Western Union. A 30% deposit is required to confirm production, with the balance paid before shipment.

Standard lead time is 7–15 business days for regular orders; prototype samples ship within 3–5 days. We ship worldwide via DHL, FedEx, UPS, sea freight (FCL/LCL), and air freight. FOB Changzhou and CIF terms are both available. All goods are packed in export-standard cartons with foam padding or wooden crates for heavy items. A commercial invoice, packing list, and COA are provided with every shipment. For large OEM orders, customized packaging and private-label options are available upon request.

  • Q: What is the difference between screw-clamp and spring-cage terminal blocks?
  • A: Screw-clamp terminals use a captive screw to press a metal clamp against the conductor — reliable, widely familiar, and retorqueable if vibration loosens the screw over time. Spring-cage terminals use a permanently tensioned spring that grips the conductor automatically when inserted — tool-free, vibration-proof, and faster to wire. Spring-cage is preferred for high-vibration environments such as rail vehicles and pumping stations.
  • Q: Can I mix different terminal block types on the same DIN rail?
  • A: Yes. All types in our range share the same 6 mm standard width and TS-35 rail profile, so feed-through, ground, fuse, and double-level blocks can be intermixed on one rail. End stops and phase separators are common parts across the range.
  • Q: What ferrule size should I use with your terminal blocks?
  • A: We recommend using a ferrule that matches the wire cross-section exactly (e.g., 2.5 mm² ferrule for 2.5 mm² wire). The ferrule end should be trimmed to 8 mm length for our standard blocks. Using ferrules reduces contact resistance and prevents strand splaying when the screw is tightened.
  • Q: Do you supply marked (pre-numbered) terminal blocks?
  • A: We supply blank white or yellow marker strips as standard. Pre-printed numbered strips (1–100 per strip, or custom sequences) are available for OEM orders. Laser-marked direct-print options are available for high-volume orders.
  • Q: What approvals do your terminal blocks carry?
  • A: All standard blocks in our range carry CE marking per IEC 60947-7-1, UL 508 listing, and RoHS 2 compliance. VDE and ATEX-certified versions are available for specific safety-critical applications — please specify at time of order.
