19AM Series Bimetallic Thermal Protector

Principle and Structure:

The 19AM series is a thermal protector with both over-temperature and over-current protection. Current flows through the terminals, bimetal disc, and contacts. When the protected device operates abnormally and the temperature or current rises excessively, the internal temperature reaches the protector’s trip point. The bimetal disc then deforms rapidly, opening the contacts and cutting off the circuit.

When the device cools down to a safe operating temperature, the bimetal disc resets, the contacts close automatically, and power is restored.

The 19AM protector features an ultra-thin profile, compact size, high contact capacity, and fast response.
